been keeping up with this series and it’s still somewhat interesting for the most part, but i feel like it should really have the “slice of life” tag too considering how slow things can be sometimes. in volume 13 they even spend a whole chapter talking about what happened to some dude who happened to offend Ryoma. you would think that this might have relevancy in the volume later, but nope. that chapter ended with this line… “Whatever xxxxx did for the remainder of his life, no stories would be told about it.”
This whole chapter could have been told in just a few sentences or paragraphs and have no effect on the story on the whole. just giving a brief outline of what happened to the guy. but they brought in a few new characters just to tell the story of this dude?! and this series have always had shorter volumes to begin with already… even if this has relevancy in the far future, who’s gonna remember the names of the ppl who showed up in this chapter? they could have just mentioned what happened to that dude at that point in time instead of doing it now. anyway, definitely losing interest in this series….

Whoever is translating the novel over at jnovel club must be a different person. In volume 12 they miss gender characters and translated names differently. I had to go look up characters to make sure I wasn’t going crazy.

Every new volume is harder to read without falling asleep. Wasn’t the author supposed to fix the novel?

Welcome to the latest episode of “translated titles don’t necessarily sell well”, localize it instead! I just hope the author agreed with the change in the meaning of his title. It’s clear the intent behind the title is the same though.
